Power-Up for Mid-afternoon

Disclaimer: Traditional Ayurvedic teachings generally consider bananas and dairy yogurt an incompatible combination (viruddha ahara) because it is thought to be heavy, mucus-forming, and potentially difficult to digest for some people.

However, since I am using almond-coconut yogurt (from Trader Joe's) this plant-based yogurt is less problematic.

Bananas: sweet, heavy, grounding; can increase Kapha when eaten in excess.

Blueberries: astringent and sweet; generally lighter and considered easier to combine with other fruits.

Adding banana makes the meal heavier and may not be ideal if you tend to have sluggish digestion, bloating, or mucus. (Kapha dosha or imbalance)

Tradition with a Twist

An Ashtanga workshop focused on the opening mantra, ashtanga asanas, and breath control.

The only thing that was out of control was the timing!

However, we dug deep into the basics (Surya Namaskars) and understanding the standing sequence.

Thank you all for your efforts, discipline, and joy.

We can only keep going up from here!🕉️

Samsāra is the state of being caught in patterns:

  • habitual thoughts

  • emotional loops

  • conditioned reactions

  • suffering created by clinging and aversion

The way to break free from this endless cycle is by Mokṣa (Mok-sha).

Mokṣa is the freedom from the compulsions of the mind and karmic patterns that keep the wheel of samsara turning.

Viva Mokṣa Community group is a space for positive energy, including experiential joys and higher wisdom based on liberation, (Mokṣa).

This community promotes kindness and gentleness with each other.

There is no right, there is no wrong, there is only harmony.
